Paper Custodian Builds Lambert (Papertoy Monsters)

Today on the Paper Custodians workbench...

we have the cute, but, sad looking creature...
Lambert

From the book

Now,
let's get started, shall we?
I really like this book for one reason. Perforation!
For the most part, perforation almost gets rid of the need for scissors.
Now, pop this page out and get started.

First,
let's separate the pieces from the page.
The best thing to do is crease the edges first, then pull them apart.

You see,  now? No scissors required.

So,
once you get your pieces separated, you can start folding everything up.

Another great hing about this book, everything has already been scored, too.
Folds right up!

With all that finished, we get out the trusty ol' glue bottle.
This here's the good stuff!

During the gluing process I noticed a few places where the piece didn't come away clean from the page.

I guess we'll need those scissors after all.

Give snip here, a snip there
and...
Nice and clean.
You might have to do this several times.

And,
We've got ourselves a little Lambert!
But Lambert wants himself a backpack.

So, let's build his little backpack.

Here, we're gluing the straps onto the backpack.
This requires a little dab of glue and a steady hand.

And,
when we've finished, we just slide his arms into the loops...

And,
Lambert is ready to retrieve large quantities of wood.
Or, hold your wooden pencils for you.

Good boy,
Lambert.
