Today on the Paper Custodian's Workbench
I am proud to feature
returning creator
with his new papertoy
Polar Bear Suit
The
Polar Bear Suit
Papertoy has got to be one of the most
creative and stylized toys to come out of papercraft in a while.
The template consists of three parts and is easy to follow.
Once completed, the toy itself is a work of art,
perfect for any toy collection.
You can download the template

Let's get this party started started!
Download and Print:
As you're cutting out the pieces,
when it comes to the zipper,
I find that...
^Score the middle first^
^Fold and glue^
^then cut out^
The Top:
Head
^Merrci was kind enough to number the tabs in the order with which to proceed^
^Glue this tab at the top of the inside^
The Paws:
^Glue at the yellow dots^
^Line up at the marks indicated by the red dots^
^Center the zipper and glue^
Lower Half:
Legs
^Don't forget to cut the slot for the tail^
^Use the vertical guide to line up tab 17 squarely^
^Using the marks on tabs 18 and glue up^
^Turn over and pull up^
^Then glue tabs 29 and 30^
^Start gluing along the zipper with tabs 33, 34^
^And the tabs 35^
^Repeat the pattern^
^31, 32^
^36^
^Finally, tabs 37^
^Attach the tail^
^Attach the ears...^
(During the process, I misplaced one of the ears...
Anyhow...)
^Insert the head of your choice^
And, Finally...
COMBINE!!!
^I removed tab 42,^
^So I could switch out the face in the future^
